Kochi Colleges: Teachers to Now Record Offline Classes; Check Details Here

College Teachers in Kochi have been asked to record the offline classes regularly for uploading it online. Students who are not able to attend the classes regularly will be benefitted by this initiative.

Recording physical classes will also help teachers to complete the syllabus in time as there will be no repetition or revision for the previous lessons taught. The Directorate of Collegiate Education has already given the directives to record offline sessions.

If any teacher is facing issues in recording the video, then they can opt for audio recording which can be done via smartphones. The classes are being operated as per the guidelines issued by the state government. Only one batch of students will be handled at a time and the faculty members suffering from any symptoms are instructed to stay at home.

The educational Institutions have also made arrangements for students who are unable to show up at the physical classes. These students can access the classes via online. Faculty members who have been assigned Work-From-Home are to submit their COVID-19-negative certificate before joining duty.

All the colleges have allocated a sanitation spot, where sanitisers, thermometer, masks, gloves and dustbin are to be provided as part of the safety protocol. No student is allowed to enter the college premise prior to recording their temperature.

Each college should have an eight-member COVID-19 cell where a faculty member should be placed in charge of the cell in addition to the principal. Junior health inspectors representing the region, ward members and office senior superintendent are to be included in this team.

Further, no visitors are allowed to enter the campus until the restrictions have been lifted by the state and central government.
