Kerala State Schools have observed the admission of 1.75 Lakh new students in classes 1 to 10. The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) released a statement mentioning that the Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE)’s Sampoorna School Management portal has recorded the figures of new admission till December 28, 2020.
According to the statement of the CMO, since the implementation of the Public Education Rejuvenation Mission, about 6.18 students have joined the Kerala State School in the last four years.
In comparison to the previous year, 8,170 more students took admission this year in class 1 alone. Class 5 records the maximum number of admission, 43,789 more students when compared to the previous year.

A total of 1,75,074 more students have got admission in the government and aided schools in Kerala this year when compared to the previous year. There are a total of 33,75,304 students pursuing education in these schools at present.
The total number of students in the government and aided schools in Kerala will be further increased after the completion of the admission procedure.
The chief minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan stated that the increase in the number of admission in the government and aided schools of Kerala is the result of the improved infrastructure and education quality which is a part of the Rejuvenation Mission.
Digital Facilities of International Standards were equipped in public schools. For the Rejuvenation Mission, extended support was also lent by the teachers, parents and students. A comprehensive change in Kerala’s education sector was kickstarted by this help, stated Pinarayi Vijayan.
