JMI to Start Online Classes from 15th December, PhD Application Process Begins; Check Details Here


Jamia Millia Islamia University has issued an official notification stating that online classes for the new session will be commencing from December 15, 2020. JMI released another notice stating the commencement of the application process for PhD programs. Students are advised to check the official site for more details.

Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI), New Delhi will be commencing the online classes through Google meet for the new academic session. JMI Merit List 2020 was released over the website on December 2, 2020. After the counselling round, the candidates reserved their seat by uploading their documents and paying the admission fees for the respective course.

On December 8, 2020 the varsity released the notice stating that application forms for the PhD courses are now available over the site. Last date to apply for the courses is December 20, 2020 while the entrance exam date will be released after the application process. The university is planning to start the PhD session from January, 2021. Below are the details mentioned in official notice:

However, MPhil programs will not be available for the academic session 2020-21 because of the execution of NEP 2020. Candidates who have already applied for the MPhil program will be transferred to the PhD applications. 

Apart from this, the entrance exam for all the courses were organized from October 10-November 22, 2020 with Covid-19 restrictions. The university made sure to follow the SOP guidelines imposed by the Central and State Government for conducting the exams.

In view of this, the university is planning to declare the dates JMI Entrance Exam for the 2021 session in the month of February 2021.
