Jammu and Kashmir government announced winter vacations for all schools from December 21. The announcement came on December 10, 2020. This order will be applicable to all schools in the Kashmir valley and the winter zone areas of Jammu for students of all classes.
BK Singh, Secretary of the School Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir issued this order on December 9, 2020.
The order will be applicable to all government and recognized private schools in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The winter vacation will last for nearly 2 months from December 21, 2020, to February 28, 2021.
BK Singh also added that though winter vacations were announced, winter tutorials will be held along with online classes for students of grades 11 and 12 according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Covid-19 guidelines from time to time.
