Jamia Millia Will Conduct Exams Via Open-book Method; Know Details Here


Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has recently directed to run the examination through the open-book system. It was decided after terminating their decision to run the semester examination by making students work on laptops or PCs. 

The Council of Academics made a decision to conduct an open-book semester-end examination after January 15, 2021. Jamia Millia University announced on Wednesday to hold a mock test before the final date sheet arrives. 

It was after the criticism over the proctored method, the Jamilia Milia Vice-Chancellor Ms. Najma Akhtar had to write to the University Grant Commission (UGC) for a further action plan.

Further, the Academic Council at Jamia Millia made a decision to upload the scores of the candidates through the online mode. This was decided when the AISA unit of the University was accused of lacking transparency during the admission process.

Meanwhile, the open-book system will be discussed in a detailed manner by the Jamia’s Executive Council. Earlier, the VC had stated that the same method of Delhi University was being followed by Jamia Milia University.
