JAC 10th, 12th Result 2021: Evaluation Criteria Released

Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has finalized the evaluation scheme needed to prepare Classes 10th and 12th results. The committee has approved the marking scheme that’ll guide schools registered under JAC to prepare the results for 10th/matriculation and 12th/intermediate.

JAC 10th, 12th Result 2021: Classes 10th, 12th Evaluation

As per the evaluation criteria for Class 12th, 80% marks will be given based on the examination conducted on the OMR sheet of class 9th and 11th whereas 20% marks will be given based on the practical exams. The subjects for which the practical exam has not been conducted, marks will be based on internal assessment, for which schools will be responsible.

For Class 10th, 20% marks will fall under the category of internal assessment for which the schools will be responsible. As for the other 80%, the student's attendance of class 9th marks secured in quarter-half or other assessments, attendance in open school for three months for class 10th will be counted. Also, the student's performance in JAC's model question paper will be considered for marking.

JAC 10th, 12th Result 2021: Guidelines for Practical Examinations

An advisory has also been given to the schools to provide the marks of practical examinations and internal assessments on a priority basis. A portal will soon go online that would allow schools to upload the marks. A more detailed guideline is expected to be announced in the next few days. 

Secretary of JAC, Mahip Kumar Singh, had earlier approved the formation of a committee responsible for a comprehensive evaluation scheme. After cancellation of Board Exams was announced by the Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, who was quoted as saying: 

In view of the circumstances arising out of Covid-19 and the demand of students and parents, I have decided to cancel the Class 10th and 12 board examination to be conducted by Jharkhand Examination Council for this session.”

The Committee consisted of five members, Deputy Director of Regional Education, South Chotanagpur Arvind Vijay Wilung, retired RDDE Rajkumar Singh, JAC's Joint Secretaries Kalpana Verma and Mohan Jha and Principal Avanindra Singh.
