Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad in collaboration with IndiaSpend School of Data Journalism (ISDJ), has launched a joint online course on “Better Reporting on Food and Agriculture”.

Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad and IndiaSpend's newly introduced course will be offered as MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses). Interested students can register now to log in and study while receiving an online certification.

Better Reporting on Food and Agriculture course will provide access to India Data Portal (IDP), developed by Bharti Institute of Public Policy (BIPP) at ISB.

India Data Portal (IDP) is an open-access portal for journalists through which they can access various information and research data in agriculture and financial domains. Additionally, through IDP, students can get information on various beneficiaries, such as researchers, students, policymakers, administrators, NGOs, and entrepreneurs.

“Better Reporting on Food and Agriculture” course is free for all interested, and eligible applicants to apply. The registered students will be able to log in to the IDP portal to study offline and will be offered an online certification after course completion.

Referring to the initiative of ISB, and ISDJ, Dr. Aarushi Jain, Associate Director, Bharti Institute of Public Policy said, “Understanding India’s food and agriculture landscape can be daunting as there is a plethora of information available in a raw and unfiltered manner". 

She further added that the course will not only offer journalists, researchers, students, policymakers, administrators, NGOs, and entrepreneurs with an in-depth understanding of the agriculture field but will offer them with better visually aided stories through the IDP portal.
