IITs Placement Season Starts Today (Dec 1); Check Details Here


Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) Placement offers start from December 1. IITs in Chennai, Kanpur, Roorkee, Guwahati, Mandi, and Jodhpur have received record pre-placement offers (PPOs) this year. There has been a tremendous increase of 55% in PPOs as compared to previous years.

A student of IIT BHU was offered the salary of INR 2 CPA this year by a Service provider in San Francisco and another student of IIT Bombay was offered the salary package of INR 1.46 LPA as per the report of Hindustan Times. However, the details are not revealed from the IIT Bombay Placement cell. Only after the official confirmation, the further details will be released as per the official.

IIT BHU Placement 2021

The highest package of INR 1540000 was obtained from US-based IT firm Cohesity for an IIT Bombay student last year. The same company offers the top package this year as well. 

Virtual placement Interviews 

 This year also, the placement interviews will be held online. According to IIT Delhi officials, “Many organizations have registered with the placement office with the intent to hire IIT Delhi graduates. There is an increasing registration for profiles related to data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning in addition to traditional profiles.” 

 Both international and domestic companies came up with higher packages this year. Quite a lot of public sector units also offered many placements offers to IIT Bombay based on student performance.

With an increase in trading activity around the world, particularly in the last year, and high-frequency trading firms profiting handsomely amid market turbulence, algorithmic trading platforms are scouring the globe for computer expertise.

During final placements, several of these corporations are expected to offer Rs 1 crore and more, according to student representatives of placement cells.

IIT Bombay Placement 2021

Blerina Anastasi, the company's head of legal, compliance, and human affairs, said, "Da Vinci Derivatives is visiting some of the leading IITs for professions like trader, quant analyst, and software engineer." The amount offered, according to ET on Tuesday, is EUR 153,000 (Rs 1.3 crore) without stock options.

At least eight trade firms are expected to attend IIT-Kharagpur, compared to two last year. IIT-Guwahati expects four to five such startups this year, compared to one last year.
