IIT Roorkee Placements 2022: 500 Offers Made on Day 2, 10 Students Received Offers Worth INR 80 LPA


New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has started the campus placement drive for its MBA students of batch 2020-23 from December 01, 2022. On day two of the placement drive, 32 companies offered students with multiple job profiles till 2 pm. With this, the total number of offers has now reached 500.

As per IIT Roorkee, students who joined the first day of the placement drive on campus have received 365 job offers including pre-placement offers (PPOs) and placement offers from international recruiters with the highest paycheck of INR 1.6 crore per annum. As of now, 10 students are offered packages up to INR 80 LPA and the numbers are expected to increase as the placement session is still ongoing. 

For this year, the placement offers were made by some of the top recruiters during IIT Roorkee Placement 2022 drive such as AppDynamics, Bajaj Auto, BCG, Cairn Oil and Gas, Da Vinci Derivatives, Flipkart, Graviton, Hilabs, Infurnia, Intel Technologies and JP Morgan Quant.

Additionally, Maverick Derivatives, Microsoft, NHA, NK Securities, Nvidia, ONGC, Oracle, Squarepoint, STMicroelectronics, Tata Steel, Texas Instrument, Trilogy and UBER were among other recruiters who joined the drive and offered students job opportunities in various sectors. 

While on the Day 2 of the IIT Roorkee Placement 2022, offers were made by Accenture S&C, American Express, Barclays, BNY Mellon, Cisco Systems, Deutsche Bank, DPWorld Enphase Energy, Flipkart Internet Pvt Ltd, Groww, India, Hilabs, HSBC, Irage, Jaguar Land Rover, JioSaavn, JPMC, Mastercard, Media.net, Meesho, Newzera, Paypal, Samsung Semiconductor, Sprinklr, ThoughtSpot, Zomato and Zupee among other recruiters.

Informing about the placement data, IIT Roorkee said, “The placement session for 2022-23 has begun as per the schedule. We have tied up with all the booming companies in all sectors with a sincere focus on rising core profiles as well”.

“Apart from this, we ensured great diversification in the profiles which resulted in more offers extended to students in the companies specific to their interests. With all the above strategies, we were able to get the best international as well as domestic opportunities” the officials added. 

Meanwhile, the placement sessions are also ongoing at IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay and II Kanpur campuses, in which students have salary packages upto INR 4 Crore. Offers were made by Microsoft, Graviton, Flipkart, Texas Instruments and Bajaj Auto among others.
