New Delhi: IIT Roorkee has successfully concluded its Entrepreneurship Summit "E-Summit 23" from February 17 to February 19, 2023. The summit was organised around the theme of "Reminiscing the Ethos Bharat". which aims to highlight the valuable culture of Golden Bharat.
The two-day summit marked the 175th anniversary of the IIT Roorkee. The event was attended by esteemed alumni, prominent speakers and various startups from around the world and included discussion panels where experts shared their values and goals with attendees.
Informing about the key highlights of Esummit IIT Roorkee, the official website reads, "We are excited to announce the Esummit IIT Roorkee, an event bringing together entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders from around the world".
"This year's summit is extra special as we are celebrating the 175th year of IIT Roorkee. We believe that the summit will be a valuable platform for startups to showcase their innovative ideas and build relationships with key players in the industry".
The event was attended by over 2400 participants from different colleges, and above 600 colleges covered by campus ambassadors were present at the event. The event included various activities such as investors' vista, where investors are exposed to real-world problems.
In addition to this, IIT Roorkee Esummit 2023 covered a trading heist, a distinguished event full of trading experience called "trading heist", and a startup expo to bring together top investors and the best upcoming startups enabling networking and fundraising among other events.
On this occasion, speakers such as Mr Mandar Joshi, Executive Chairman, Mstrategy Global; Mr Nitin Jain CEO of business; representatives of Startup Uttarakhand and many other successful entrepreneurs joined the stage and shared their ideas with participants.
Professor K K Pant, Director, of IIT Roorkee, said, "The summit brings an opportunity to the spirit of entrepreneurship and to foster the leaders and problem solvers. We remain committed to our vision of enabling and inspiring young dreamers to take the plunge towards entrepreneurship."
Professor Akshay Dvivedi, Dean of Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy added, "Today what is required is steering our way through exciting competitions to light up the spirit of entrepreneurship, and the E-Summit '23 is the perfect stage for such prospective intellectual panel discussions, knowledgeable sessions, networking arenas and all the more that is required."
