As the Phase 1 placements have conculded across all Indian Institutes of Technology in the country, the institutes have witnessed a highly successful placement season even amidst the ongoing pandemic.
The first phase of IIT Placements 2020 has finished with 30 students from IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay being placed with a package of over INR 1 crore. Some of the major recruiting companies included industry giants such as Microsoft, Samsung, Sony etc.

As per reports, Samsung has provided over 18 job offers to IIT students with a package of more than INR 1 crore. This includes 5 offers to IIT Delhi students, 6 at IIT Kanpur and 7 at IIT Bombay.
Offers over INR 1 crore have also been made by Sony Corporation to students at IIT Kharagpur and IIT Bombay.
Microsoft has also made a top package offer of INR 1.3 crore. The corporation has recruited several students from IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Bombay.
The American MNC, Oracle, as well as the Optiver, a trade-firm from Amsterdam have made offers of packages over INR 1 crore to students across IITs in various states. Optiver has made seven offers in total, with the highest worth INR 1.4 Crore to students at IIT Bombay.
High-paying offers have also been made by California-based IT company Cohesity as well as Ally, OKR software provider. Ally has offered packages of above INR 1 core at several IITs.
