IIT Kanpur to Begin New Courses on Data Science; Check Details Here

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will start providing online courses on Data Science for free to various candidates. Interested candidates will be able to register for the benefits via the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) online learning portal. 

Apart from IIT Kanpur, other major IITs and IISc have also planned to launch various free courses online on various domains. The free courses initiative comes under the SWAYAM program. SWAYAM is an excellent plan by GOI that aims to provide free e-learning.

For the Data Science course, IIT Kanpur will provide an e-certificate too for the completion of the course. The applicants for the course will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1000. There are two data science courses that will be covered. 

Although, the courses are open to students of various fields these are highly recommendable to UG and PG students in the Computer Science field. Apart from these, it will prove fruitful for BE, ME, MS, MSc, and Ph.D. students. The basic requirement for the course is having a clear understanding and knowledge of formal languages, logic, programming, etc.
