The Indian Institute of Technology,Kanpur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of Engineering (IOE) of Nepal's Tribhuvan University (TU) for academic cooperation and research partnerships. Both the institutes will now look forward to keep a promising partnership and organise joint activities which can further their aims.
The memorandum will cooperate in the exchange of faculty, researchers and students among both the institutes for Joint Research across different fields. This MOU is aimed to promote Science, Engineering and Humanities Education.
IIT Kanpur & Tribhuvan University have a long history of mutual side cooperation & this Memorandum will only strengthen that partnership. The MOU will be aimed at Student, faculty and researchers exchange among these institutes for Joint research and activities which will promote Science, Humanities and Engineering education.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Yogesh Joshi, Dean (International Relations), IIT Kanpur and Prof. Shashidhar Joshi, Dean of Institute of Engineering,Tribhuvan University and during MoU-Signing ceremony, Vice Dean(IOE),Peshal Dahal -Registrar(TU),Prof.Sushil B Bajracharya and Prof.Indra Acharya were also present among the delegations that visited IIT Kanpur from TU, Nepal.
On the visit of TU delegations to the IIT Kanpur campus,they were also taken for a tour of facilities available in the institute. They visited the Centre for Energy Regulation, Laboratories for Mechanical Engineering department and also the Environmental Science building (thermal storage and air conditioning facilities).
The visitors from Tribhuvan University also got to see the Flight Lab and Air strip facilities at IIT Kanpur campus.
