News Title: IIT Jodhpur and the Material Research Society of India (MRS-I) are organising the International Union of Materials Research Society - International Conference in Asia - 2022 (IUMRS-ICA-2022) for over 900 participants. The conference is still ongoing and will be held till December 23, 2022.
As per IIT Jodhpur, IUMRS ICA International Conference 2022 is anticipated to draw 900 attendees from all IITs, IISc, IISERs, DRDO, CSIR, and DAE institutions. The event will aim to offer participants an insight into different cultures, heritage and lifestyles of people across India.
The main goal of IUMRS-ICA-2022 is to provide academics, researchers, and scientists with an excellent opportunity to learn about not just academics but also the many different cultures and lifestyles of India, which will eventually be expanded to Asian cultures by participants from all over the world.
As part of the conference, Asian scientists will present, debate, and build international partnerships on cutting-edge materials science research and development. The event will cover topics like the variety of functional materials for semiconductors, energy, organic and flexible devices, etc.
Additionally, it will cover 2D graphene and beyond graphene, III-V and II-VI, computational, optoelectronic, biodegradable, biomaterials, soft, nature-inspired, neuro-inspired, quantum computing, sensing, emerging memory, biomedical, hybrid and biomass, advanced structural, and related processes.
At IUMRS-ICA-2022, the “Materials Research Society of India (MRSI)” award is offered to selected participants, which are; Judith Driscoll, Cambridge University, UK (MRSI Silver Jubilee International Medal) and G U Kulkarni, JNCASR, India (CNR Rao Prize Lecture in Advanced Materials).
In addition, D D Sarma, IISC is awarded the Distinguished Materials Scientist of the Year Award, Kulamani Parida, Centre for Nanoscience and Technology with MRSI Materials Science Annual Prizes, and Tata Narasinga Rao, ARCI, Hyderabad with MRSI Materials Science Annual Prizes and MRSI Medal Lectures.
