IIT Indore Launched B.Tech in Space Science and Engineering Program

New Delhi: A new B.Tech programme in space science and engineering has been created by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore. The JEE Advanced entrance exam score will be used as the basis for admission to the programme.

IIT Indore reports that the programme will begin in the month of July 2023 and those who wish to get admission at the university must take and pass the JEE Advanced 2023 exam.

The department of IIT Indore said on Twitter: "We are happy to announce the beginning of a new and unique B.Tech programme at IIT - B.Tech in Space Science and Engineering, from July 2023." The department also stated that there will be 20 seats available for the new B.Tech programme and that admission will be through the IIT JEE Advanced.

According to a statement from the institute, the recently created course aims to disseminate "state of the art information" in the field. It also intends to provide qualified human resources to meet the needs of India's and the rest of the world's expanding space and related industries.

The institution added that students will be able to access cutting-edge research and technological advancement through the programme in the fields of payloads, small satellites, and detector design, data analytics, imaging, and advanced numerical simulations.
