As per recent updates, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar is gearing up to organize the Indo-UK Virtual Conference on the 5C’s of Water Vulnerability: Climate Change, Contaminants, Co-occurrence, Conflicts, and COVID-19”.
The conference at IIT GN will commence on December 14 and will go on till December 16, 2020. The timing of the conference will be 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm on both days.
The Dr Kiran C Patel Centre for Sustainable Development (KPCSD) of the Earth Sciences Department will be co-organizing this conference along with the British Council, the Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India, UK-India Education Research Initiative (UKIERI) and Newcastle University

The conference will be kicked off with an inaugural talk about the inaugural talk on ‘Climate Linked Resilient Cities Development Planning’. This talk will be presented by Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI).
Dr. Kumar has made numerous contributions to the disciplines of environmental science and engineering through his excellence and extensive research on Sustainable Development by implementing science and technology appropriately. The talk will be held on Dec 14 from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm.
The objective of this online conference is to unite scientists, academicians, professionals, professors and researchers from across the world to express their inputs and share their respective expertise and teachings. They will be sharing their knowledge on environmental issues such as quality of water as well as aquatic environments in general with respect to preservation.
