Dr. Anasuya Roy, Founder & CEO of Nanosafe stated most sanitizing solutions nowadays are infused with either alcohol or nanosilver. However, during research, he came across the benefits and disadvantages of infusing anti-virus solutions with silver, copper, and zinc.

Hence the reason to use copper as the sanitization and antimicrobial solution for newly developed NSafe masks and RubSafe sanitizer at IIT Delhi, Dr. Roy further added.

The NSafe mask designed by IIT Delhi startup Nanosafe is considered better than conventional N95 marks because of its self-sanitizing property and water-repellent layers. Since it can be reusable for over 50 times, it is the safest and most economical mask option in the market.

Additionally, Nanosafe envisions the future free from alcohol-based sanitizers with its range of nano copper-infused sanitizing lotion- RubSafe. Currently, RubSafe has been introduced in two aromas namely lavender and lemongrass.

Nanosafe has collaborated with Britacel Silicones, a specialty finishing company for the manufacturing of RubSafe aroma products. Moreover, RubSafe sanitizer provides a safe alternative that offers 24-hour protection against all types of viruses and microbes.

The sanitizer can effectively last throughout the day having an added protection against all kinds of germs and infections in comparison to conventional alcohol-based sanitizers.

The conventional abrasive alcohol-based sanitizers might be antimicrobial but their effects don’t last for a longer duration. It can also affect the sensitive skin of babies adversely. Apart from that due to its high evaporation rate, the skin is left unprotected soon after its application.
