The program will start from the 2021-22 session and eligibility for the PG program is bachelor's degree in programs such as B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Sc(Ag),BA LLB, MBBS.
IIT Delhi has recently launched a new post graduate programme in public policy. The institute will start the program ' Master of Public Policy' from the academic session 2021-22. The objective of the program is Science,Technology and Innovation development and MPP will be offered by the School of Public Policy, IIT Delhi.
The program will focus to provide students of diverse backgrounds with disciplinary training and help them to transform into quality professionals as per the need of industries. Developing critical thinking, ethical practices and analytical abilities among the students, to take on public policy issues for public interest are some major objectives of the 2-year MPP program.
The qualifying degrees for this PG programme are Bachelor's degrees like BA LLB(Hons),B.Sc(Ag),B.Arch,B.Tech, MBBS and BVSc or postgraduate degrees such as M.Sc,MA,MPhil,M.Tech,Integrated MSc/MA or equivalent.Sponsored candidates from various academia/institutes/government organisations can also apply for this programme.
Speaking of the new PG programme in public policy, Prof Ambuj Sagar, Head, School of Public Policy, IIT Delhi said that, " We are very excited to launch this programme as it will help the students to understand and contribute to how STI can address the developmental challenges in a better way, the importance of which cannot be overstated and will only grow over time. All in all,this MPP program will be an exciting and unique learning opportunity for the students",he added.
