IIT Delhi has decided to collaborate with All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi to work on seven projects with an overall aim of studying various ayurvedic formulations and wellness.
The seven projects proceed from the MoU approved earlier between the two institutions for interdisciplinary research in Ayurveda and connecting engineering science principles. Director of IIT Delhi, Professor V Ramgopal Rao stated that the integration of high knowledge and technology is expected to benefit society at large by offering better healthcare possibilities.
Further adding to his statement, Rao discussed that the validation of the traditional knowledge system is the cue to generate these varieties of medicine more widely. Researchers of IIT Delhi are going to focus on the assurance factors by working closely with the AIIA faculty.
AIIA Director Professor Tanuja Nesari shared the main objective of the collaboration. She said that the sole aim of the pact is to expand a deeper knowledge of the elemental principles of Ayurvedic diagnosis and treatment of diseases, to formulate resourceful diagnostic tools and equipment for various Ayurvedic techniques.
