The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay has invited applications from students for a 12-week long course on Quantum Mechanics.This programme will be totally free of cost and it will be offered through NPTEL platform.NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) is an Educational Initiative by the Ministry of Education involving 7 Top IITs & IISc Bangalore to promote usage of e-learning methods for quality education.

The course will be conducted from January 24 to April 15, 2022 and it will cover topics such as; Introduction to Quantum Mechanics, Classical Vs Quantum Mechanics, Bound States, Linear Vector Space and more. This Quantum Mechanics course will be very beneficial for students who have done their B.Tech in Engineering Physics/ Electrical Engineering or M.Sc in Physics/ 5-year Integrated chemistry.
IIT Bombay will organise the exam for Interested candidates on April 24, 2022.
Participants who score an average score of 10 out of 25 during assignments and an average exam score of 30 out of 75 will get Certificates with their Name, Final exam score and Photograph on it.
The Online course will be conducted by P. Ramadevi from IIT Bombay who has done her research in Mathematical Physics field. Although the course is free to enroll, but to get the official certificate, candidates have to clear an exam conducted by the institute and pay a fee of INR 1,000. Students will only get E- Certificates having logos of IIT Bombay and NPTEL and no hard copies will be given.
