The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has partnered with ed-tech platform Coursera for the launch of new certificate programs. Digital Transformation and Power Electronics, and Motors for Electric Vehicles (EVs) are the new certificate programs introduced.
The new launch of Certificate programs from IIT Bombay will help to obtain jobs in the field of digital transformation and EVs. Candidates having required eligibility can apply for the programs. The details are available on the Official College Website. The deadline for course registration is November 19, 2021. Classes commence on November 20, 2021.
The Digital Transformation Certification is mainly for non-IT managers leading digital transformation initiatives. The training will help in building new skill sets to advance in their careers. The course teaches technical, managerial, and leadership skills and how to implement and execute the right solutions.

The Digital Transformation course duration is 4 months. Professor. Rajendra Sonar, Shailesh J Mehta School of Management at IIT Bombay, and Mr. Suhrid Brahma, Senior industry leader will be the faculties for the program.
The program helps in building necessary skills for advancing careers in the field of electric vehicles (EVs). The subjects like motor design, power converter design, and motor drives are detailed in the course structure. The participants will acquire a thorough knowledge of energy storage systems and power electronics and electric vehicles.
The Power Electronics and Motors for Electric Vehicles (EVs) program duration is four and a half months. Dr.BG Fernandes, Dr.Kishore Chatterjee, and Dr.Sandeep Anand from the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Bombay will be the faculties.
The newly introduced certificate programs are provided by the CEC Department of IIT Bombay. Prof Siddhartha Ghosh, Professor-in-Charge of Continuing Education Programme, declared the significance of these certifications in the industry. According to him, EV sales will grow 30% by 2030 as per IEA’s Global EV Outlook report. The Coursera certificate program Coursera will add up to building a career in these in-demand fields.
