Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has inaugurated two new academic complexes at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar today. The new academic complexes to be inaugurated are the Pushpagiri Lecture Hall Complex and the Rushikulya Hall of Residence.

As per the reports, the official data issued states that the Government of India has sanctioned an amount of INR 1,260 Crore for the creation of the infrastructure at the institution in two phases.

IIT Bhubaneswar Lecture Hall Amenities
During the inauguration ceremony, the director of IIT Bhubaneswar stated that the lecture halls are designed to be state of the art classrooms, where e-learning, live streaming of lectures along with interaction could be done along with lecture recording facility. Moreover, it can also be used for the purposes of conventional classes.
Further, the director further added that the lecture halls are designed to work with natural ventilation during winters and air conditioning during summers. Also, the lecture halls will have electrical connections for charging laptops, internet access through WiFi, document visualizers for board work along with whiteboards, CCTV cameras, etc.
He pointed out that the newly inaugurated flipped classroom complex could be used for conventional lectures, group tasks, analysis, problem-solving, assignment, individual work consisting of study, browsing, design, and interactions with teachers.
In the end, he concluded saying that the Rushikulya Hall of Residence at IIT Bhubaneswar will be a hostel for the students facilitated with all the modern amenities and basic utilities.
