IISc Bengaluru Ranked Among Top 100 ‘Computer Science’ Universities in World; Details Here


THE Rankings 2022: In accordance with THE World University Rankings 2022 release, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru has secured its position among the top 100 universities in the "computer science" domain. 

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru has been ranked 81 with an overall score of 56.4 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022, followed by the Indian Institute Technology Indore at rank 201-250, 

In THE Ranking 2022, universities like Jamia Millia Islamia, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology India, and Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi have already secured ranking among the top 500 universities under the computer science domain. 

Jamia Millia Islamia, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology India, and VIT University stood at a rank between 301 to 400, while Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was placed at 401-500 rankings in THE Ranking 2022 chart.

In Times World University Rankings 2022, three top Indian universities stood at the top 400 ranking list, which includes IISc Bangalore, Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, and JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru.

While talking about the ranking, Phil Baty, Chief Knowledge Officer at THE said, “We are already seeing clear disruption to the established norms from mainland China, and record highs for Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Hong Kong show that Asia is continuing to benefit from the focus and investment in higher education across the continent”.
