IISc Bangalore Releases KVPY 2021 Exam Date; Check Details Here


Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has announced the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) 2021 exam date and other details related to the aptitude exam on its official KVPY website @kvpy.iisc.ac.in. 

IISc Bangalore has decided to conduct the KVPY aptitude test on January 9, 2022. Students who have registered for the KVPY 2021 exam can find the detailed information on the KVPY website. 

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a national-level fellowship programme initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. 

The KVPY fellowship programme aims to promote science education and to guide students to select a career in basic sciences courses and research. 

The aptitude exam is conducted by IISc Bangalore to offer fellowships and contingency grants for students from Class 11 to first year students pursuing basic science courses like BSc, BS, BStat, BMath, Integrated MSc, and Integrated MS.

The science programme aims to recognize students with a research aptitude, assist them lead a career in scientific research and to ensure the country’s research and development grows in this field with the best scientific minds. 

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has set up a special committee to screen eligible students and hold the aptitude tests across the country. The qualified candidates will have to attend the final interview round. 

Post this process, the institute will prepare a final merit list considering the results of aptitude test and interview and finalize the students for the fellowship. 

Candidates selected for the KVPY fellowship are offered with scholarships up to pre-PhD level and they also get a chance to attend the summer camps organized in prestigious research and educational institutions in India.
