IISc Bangalore inks MoU with Lam Research India to Offer Fellowship Program from 2022-23; Read Details Here


New Delhi: One of the leading institutes of India, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has recently collaborated with the CeNSE (Centre for Nano Science and Engineering) to offer fellowship programs to its students. 

Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CeNSE, IISc Bangalore will offer a sponsored fellowship program to second-year M.Tech students of the institute. The program will be open for candidates from the academic session 2022-23.

Referring to the collaboration, Lam Research India's Corporate Vice President and General Manager Rangesh Raghavan remarked, "We are delighted to continue our longstanding relationship with IISc to develop talent and drive technological innovation in the semiconductor industry". 

"With access to a talent pool as strong as IISc's, we expect to significantly enhance Lam Research India's innovation contribution to the ecosystem” he added. 

IISc Bengaluru M.Tech Fellowship to Offer Exposure in Semiconductor Technologies

The MoU will offer advanced training and development facilities to students of IISc Bangalore M.Tech Course. Students will get a chance to learn about the working of advanced semiconductor technologies at Lam India.

IISc Bangalore has also begun registrations for M.Tech program. The institute offers a 2 years long M.Tech program in 19 different specializations of Engineering. There are a total of 400 seats for admission. For M.Tech admission, a GATE score is a must. Interested candidates can apply for admission till March 22, 2022.

With the goal of attracting talent from the engineering field, the CeNSE, IISc Bengaluru MTech Fellowships Program will expose students to new opportunities in the emerging field of electronics and semiconductor manufacturing industry.

Talking about the CeNSE Industry, Chairperson Srinivasan Raghavan stated that Lam Research India has been a part of the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering industry’s affiliate program since 2014. 

As of now, the Semiconductor Plant Gear Maker of Lam Research India is working constantly towards solving various industry-based challenges through various academic and research initiatives. 

The center is well known for initiating multiple collaborative projects in the field of semiconductor technologies. With this collaboration with IISc Bengaluru, the center will offer basic to advanced training sessions to engineering students of the institute.
