Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Trichy inaugurated a dedicated medical center on campus on November 23. The center was inaugurated to provide 24/7 first aid in case of emergency. It will also provide basic primary medical care for faculty, staff, and students.
The staff for the medical center at IIM Trichy will be supported by the Kauvery Medical Center (KMC), Trichy. The medical center will have doctors during all days including Sundays from 10 am to 7 pm. Staff nurses will be on duty in the center during all days around the clock.

The medical facility was inaugurated by the director in charge of IIM Trichy Godwin Tennyson. He said that the center is equipped with all the latest technology and equipment that could be required in case of emergencies including an ECG machine, a Defibrillator, and a multi-para monitor.
The medical center has a capacity of two beds for patient observation as well as an ambulance service, which could be availed on the advice of a doctor. Prashant Gupta, the chief administrative officer in charge gave his thanks to all the faculty members which made this project into a reality.

He said that with the help of the medical center, emergencies and injuries could be treated instantly. The lack of a dedicated medical center was a big concern since there would be no provision in case of a mishappening. That is why the medical center assumes even more importance.
Mr. Prashant Gupta also said that procurement of the medical supplies and equipment for the center was a big challenge in the pandemic. However, overcoming this challenge was possible with the effective and active support of everyone involved in the project.
Meanwhile, IIM Trichy previously inaugurated the 9th batch of its PGPBM students via an online conference. Mr. Shri Ganesh Mani S, the production director of Hyundai Motor India was also present on this occasion.
