IIM Shillong Signs Agreement with Alba Graduate Business School for Exchange Program

New Delhi: IIM Shillong has collaborated with Alba Graduate Business School of Greece for an exchange programme for teachers and students. Besides the exchange programme, the collaboration will also focus on teacher-student joint research initiatives and other academic and scientific endeavours.

IIM Shillong director DP Goyal and Alba Graduate Business School's dean Kostas Axarloglou signed the agreement. On the agreement, Goyal said, "We look forward to developing the most reliable policies and strategies to successfully achieve the goals in the dynamic environment."

According to Goyal, both the institutes will work to develop workable, managerial and technological solutions. The Alba Graduate B School is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). According to NDTV, the commission is authorised by the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

Also, admission to IIM Shillong has begun for the academic year 2022-2023. Candidates can visit the official website and check the latest updates for admission and further processes.

Previously, the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati, had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Incubation and Enterprise Support Centre of the Indian Institute of Management Shillong (IIMS) with an aim to boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the North Eastern Region (NER).

The goal of this collaboration was to encourage entrepreneurship, incubation, and startups in the North Eastern Region. Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajesh Aggarwal said that the Northeast has tremendous potential and it is just waiting to be discovered.

To support professional development in the areas of management, entrepreneurship, and skill development, the institutes will collaborate and exchange information and resources. Also to meet the larger demand for capacity building and entrepreneurship promotion in the NER, the institutes will work jointly.
