New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Rohtak, has awarded the IIM Alumni Award 2023 to Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, for his outstanding contributions to public service and administration.
During his participation in the 9th Annual Alumni Meet, 2023, which was held at the Indian Institute of Management, IIM Rohtak, Advisor Bhatnagar was presented with this prestigious award.
The Alumni from all of the batches that have graduated from IIM Rohtak in the past ten years attended the alumni meet, which was held after a two-year absence in physical mode owing to COVID.
Speaking at the Alumni Meet, Advisor Bhatnagar emphasised the importance of lifelong learning and the need for people to be able to acquire new things as needed to meet the demands of their jobs and organisations.
Advisor Bhatnagar remarked that if a person has the appropriate potential, power, and knowledge, they can always contribute to society in the correct manner.
In addition, the advisor urged the alumni and current students to work hard and persistently since peer learning is just as important as academic learning.
Further, the advisor advised students that they must always have a positive approach on learning, look at a problem with the aim to find a solution to it.
The Advisor also discussed J&K's growth and development in his address, as well as the significant increase in security that followed the revocation of Article 370.
The Director of IIM Rohtak, Professor Dheeraj Sharma, spoke about the value of culture in the IIM system and said that a sense of ownership is what builds the culture of an institute and therefore, aside from creating wonderful managers and managers who are responsible, the IIM system ensures that its alumni internalise this value system.
The Director added that IIM graduates adopt the culture as a way of life as they represent the organisation in the corporate sector and consistently advance societal progress.
Several Alumni who spoke at the event praised the leadership of the management institute for its efforts in creating the biggest and most innovative management institution in the nation.
The institute also presented IIM Alumni Awards 2023 to various people for their achievements in the fields of public service and social welfare during the alumni meet.
