New Delhi: IIM Ranchi is in the process of conducting its placement drive for graduating students on the campus ground. Student Thanpam Kasomhung has received the highest placement package of INR 67 LPA from Tolaram Group, a Singapore business enterprise.
As per IIM Ranchi, the placement drive is still ongoing and 22-year-old Thanpam Kasomhung from Manipur's Ukhrul district has received the highest placement offer so far. While speaking on the placement, he stated that he is grateful for the opportunity and will join the office soon.
Thanpam Kasomhung said, "I feel as if I am still in dreams. The feeling has yet to sink in. My interview was also like a dream. I don't know how I did it, although I studied really hard, as a freshman it was my first time. The interview was over with a lot of laughter”.
Born and raised in Hungpung in Ukhrul district, Thanpam Kasomhung has completed his class 10th and class 12th from Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Hungpung and his graduation from Mangalore. He also appeared for CAT and with a lot of hard work, secured admission at IIM Ranchi.
He is currently pursuing the IIM Ranchi MBA program, which is scheduled to complete in March 2023. After completing his education, he will join the position of Brand Manager at Tolaram Group in Singapore and will be offered a salary package of INR 67 lakh per annum.
While comparing the data, the highest salary package offered to students in IIM Ranchi Placement 2021-22 stood at INR 29.75 LPA While in the placement drive held earlier this year, the highest package was at INR 32.21 LPA and the average offer stood at INR 16.17 LPA.
Last year, offers were made by some of the leading recruiters such as Accenture, Cognizant, Deloitte, Genpact, HCL, DCM Shriram, Deloitte, EY, Goldman Sachs, HDFC Bank, American Express, Axis Bank, Capgemini, Cognizant and Dell for MBA students of the institute.
