New Delhi: IIM Kozhikode has commenced classes for the one-year Post Graduate Program in Business Leadership (PGP-BL) on April 14, for the academic session 2022-23.
With a high growth trajectory, IIM Kozhikode is offering this unique and innovative one-year PGP-BL in accordance with NEP 2020 and industry requirements.
Recently, the management institute welcomed its third batch of students for its one-year IIM Kozhikode PGP-BL to the campus. Mr. Vishal Sharma, Consulting Leader, Deloitte Consulting India, was the Chief Guest at the inaugural event presided over by Prof. Shubhasis Dey, Dean (Programmes & International Relations), IIM Kozhikode.
Being one of the most sought-after programs, a total of 65 candidates with an average working experience of 4.9 years have joined this full-time residential PGP-BL course.
IIM Kozhikode PGP-BL 2022: Batch Profile
The third batch of IIMK’s PGP-BL comprises 65 students from different industry backgrounds, with an average working experience of 4.9 years. The male: female ratio of the MBA course is 71:29.
Considering the work experience of the candidates of the third batch of one-year MBA, 23% candidates are each from IT/ITES account and services sectors, whereas 18% of the candidates belong to the Manufacturing and Automotive sectors.
According to the IIMK data, 42% of students of the PGP-BL programme are in the age group of 26-27 years.
Speaking on the inaugural occasion of the programme, Deloitte’s Consulting Leader, Mr. Vishal Sharma, emphasised the importance of learning, unlearning & relearning in the current scenario. He also added that change is a given and will happen in all spheres of life and that students, regardless of their nature of work, should be willing to embrace change.
IIM Kozhikode PGP-BL Placement Trends
Introduced in 2020, IIM Kozhikode PGP BL has witnessed significant placement records for the first two batches.
The first batch witnessed participation from a large number of marquee recruiters in diverse domains. All the 65 students were recruited for promising roles in different sectors at top-notch organisations.
With 39 companies making an exceptional 71 offers, 4 students received international offers. IIM Kozhikode placement 2021 recorded the highest salary package offered at INR 46.14 LPA, the average salary at INR 24.20 LPA, and the median salary package stood at INR 20.47 LPA.
IIM Kozhikode placement 2022 for the second batch of PGP-BL achieved a 100% success rate with a 20% hike in average salary over the first batch placements.
- The average salary went up by 20% to INR 29 LPA, whereas the highest salary package was increased by 50% from INR 46.14 LPA to INR 69.3 LPA and the median salary package went up by 22% from INR 20.47 LPA to INR 25 LPA.
- This year, a total of 53 Students participated in IIM Kozhikode Placement 2022, where 52 companies made 62 offers, including 1 International offer.
- Consulting and General Management & Operations sectors made the largest offers at the placements.
- Some of the top recruiters were Accenture, Amazon, Bain & Company, Barclays, Cognizant, Infosys, Microsoft, IBM, and Reliance Jio.
