IIM Kozhikode Admission 2021: 50 MBA Seats Announced for International Candidates; Details Here


The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kozhikode has officially announced 50 supernumerary seats for the international students in three leading full time MBA programmes at one of the foremost B-Schools in the country.

IIM Kozhikode announced the 50 supernumerary seats for the flagship MBA programme - Post graduate Programme (PGP) and two other latest offerings - Post Graduate Programme in Liberal Studies and Management (PGP LSM) and Post Graduate Programme in Finance (PGP-F). 

According to the IIM-K sources, it has been mentioned that international candidates refers to the Indian citizens residing outside India or a foreign national with a valid passport or travel documents residing outside India.

Talking about the decision, the Director of IIM Kozhikode, Professor Debashis Chatterjee, said that the B-school had shaped the management education successfully in the country over the past decade. He also referred to management as India's most successful soft power. 

Further, he added that the mission of IIM Kozhikode is 'Globalising Indian Thought', which closely aligns with the Government of India's thrust towards 'Study in India' programme. With the introduction of NEP 2020, there has been a massive boost and the institute mainly focuses on providing world class education at affordable costs to the students.

IIM Kozhikode Courses 2021 

According to the 2020 QS World University Rankings, IIM-Kozhikode has received a distinction of breaking into the top-100 in global 'Thought Leadership' category and was placed at 90th position. The decision of welcoming international students will surely bring in added dynamism and vibrancy in the classroom, Prof Shubhasis Dey, Dean (Programmes and International Relations) said. 

It should be noted that the total fee for the two-year programme is around USD 30,000 and all the candidates enrolling for the course will have an all-resource access permissible stay in the campus including joining the international exchange programme, as for the in-country PGP (MBA) students. 

It is also mentioned in the statement that all the eligible students will receive scholarships granted by the respective committee of the institute, considering their past academic record, interview performance, their academic progress and overall conduct in the institute.
