IIM Kashipur & Dr R S Tolia Uttarakhand Academy of Administration Signed MoU to Improve Governance and Development; Read Details Here


New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kashipur and Dr R. S. Tolia Uttarakhand Academy of Administration, Nainital have joined hands by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance development and governance.

As per IIM Kashipur, Bhagawati Prasad Pandey, the Academy's Director General, and Dr Kulbhushan Balooni, Director of IIM Kashipur represented their respective institutions at the ceremony and provided an overview of their goals and future plans. The signing ceremony was held on the academy's campus.

These two institutes will collaborate on capacity-building efforts as well as conducting research projects, exchanging teachers for mutually agreed-upon programmes and working as training partners to deliver various courses in the area of public administration and good governance.

Under this Memorandum of Understanding, these activities will be carried out by determining the training needs of civil servants, developing course outlines in accordance with required needs, and setting up training sessions at convenient times for all parties.

IIM Kashipur has been released from its obligations with three main duties. First, conducting a "Training Needs Assessment or (TNA)" of civil personnel employed by the Government of Uttarakhand. The second is to create learning modules and training programmes based on training need analysis.

The training and learning modules will be digitalized and integrated with the iGOT platform as part of a national programme to develop the capability of the civil service (Karmyogi Bharat).

Additionally, the third duty is to offer instructors for the management-related courses and training programmes needed for public administration and sound governance.
