New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management, (IIM) Indore has signed an MoU with Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) to develop joint activities in academic areas of mutual interest.
IIM Indore Director Professor Himanshu Rai signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TU Dublin President Professor David FitzPatrick, which will be valid for a duration of three years.
Sharing the details of this collaboration, Prof Rai said the MoU would offer a platform to exchange faculty, researchers and administrative staff and provide opportunities for collaborative research.
Expressing his delight while signing the MoU with the first technological university of Ireland—TU Dublin, the institute intends at creating socially conscious leaders, managers and entrepreneurs.
He added that TU Dublin emphasises to create an inclusive and open learning experience for students. This association will be helpful for the faculty, students and staff of both the educational institutes, permitting them to come together, learn and collaborate on multiple activities.
The MoU revealed that the collaboration would include organising symposiums, conducting lectures, exchanging academic material and developing and delivering programmes of study and online learning for the global audience.
Prof FitzPatrick highlighted that the alliance would further protect the relationship between the institutions and authorise them to organise beneficial events mutually across various activities.
Expressing his views on signing the MoU with the management institute, which is the second IIM in India to receive the Triple Crown, Prof FitzPatrick said that conducting various lectures, seminars, workshops and so forth online and offline will empower the stakeholders of both the institutes to learn from—and grow with—this collaboration.
He concluded by saying that both the institutes are looking forward to organising and hosting various events and activities that prove fruitful for both the parties.
