Indian Institute of Management, Indore has developed a SAFAAI Model and an Ayodhya Swachata Anthem, which will transform Ayodhya into an Eco-Friendly Global Spiritual Tourism Destination.
Under this initiative, the Indian Institute of Management, IIM Indore’s main aim is to offer information and spread awareness regarding waste segregation and facilitate the accessibility of important resources.
The IIM Indore's SAFAAI Model stands for Spreading Awareness, Facilitating Availability and Accessibility, and Icchashakti (willpower). The model will be facilitated under the Swachh Bharat Program and will use information, education, and communication (IEC) strategies.

IIM Indore Signs Lol with AstraZeneca for Future-Ready Healthcare Services
Municipal Corporation of Ayodhya (MCA)’s Commissioner, Vishal Singh said “The study has been done to have a scientific understanding on how to create awareness on cleanliness and the kind of interventions required to have maximum impact.”
Referring to the initiative of IIM Indore, he further added, “It begins from spreading awareness on waste segregation to keeping localities, houses clean and not vandalizing garbage bins. It also looks at effective strategies to propel media to promote Swachata".
IIM Indore’s team, which is led by Professor Himanshu Rai has crafted the extended report for institutes SAFAAI Model.

While making the draft for the model, the team approached over 1,000 participants including ward representatives, corporation workers among others to identify the best method for waste management.
As per the report, the IIM-I Management Team tested various practices and issues related to waste management to find solutions and applied IEC strategies to promote cleanliness in Ayodhya. Additionally, the team also conducted a survey to collect the data for the same.
While talking about the model, MCAs Commissioner said, "Accordingly, we will look for infrastructure and manpower enhancement and a strategy for the corporation on planning and budget allocation. We are yet to get the second report. The idea is to implement it in totality”.
