Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has been conducting a Five-week Annual Faculty Development Programme, which was finally concluded on August 14, 2021.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic situation, this is the first time that the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore conducted the Annual Faculty Development Programme, wherein the event witnessed international participation.
Around eight participants from Mid-Western University School of Management (MUSOM), Nepal were present. In the presence of Professor Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore, Professor Sanjeev Tripathi, Chair-FDP and all the participants, the valedictory address took place.
In the valedictory address, Professor Himanshu Rai advised the participants to identify their true identity and said that the first attribute is to know who they really are, and what their inner strength is, irrespective of the position they hold. Further, he asked the participants to focus on following their passion as that will make them happy.
While addressing the participants who completed the programme successfully, He said that if they are able to identify what their passion is, they will be keen to learn more and be able to imagine the kind of world they want to live in; and also, be able to create that world for the people of the next generation to step into.
Meanwhile, Professor Sanjeev Tripathi congratulated all the participants for successfully completing the programme. Also, all the 20 participants received their certificates on completion of the Faculty Development Programme.
Furthermore, IIM Indore concluded its placement drive for the FT globally-ranked Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP). As per the reports, the institute witnessed a decline in the average salary of participants.
As per the previous year’s IIM Indore Placements 2021 reports, it is stated that in the 2020-21 placement season, IIM Indore EPGP received the highest salary offer of Rs 32.76 lakh per annum, in contrast the average salary of the batch was Rs 20.4 lakh per annum and the median salary was Rs 20 lakh per annum. However, the average salary recorded in 2020 for EPGP participants was Rs 24.10 lakh per annum.
