IIM Calcutta Summer Internship Placement 2022: 540 Offers Made, Average Stipend Stood at INR 1.59 lakh

New Delhi: IIM Calcutta has successfully concluded the summer internship placement drive for students on the campus ground for session 2022-23. As per the reports, a total of 470 students who joined the drive received 540 offers from top recruiters such as Amazon, Google, etc.

As per IIM Calcutta, the drive recorded the highest number of job offers from the consulting and finance sector. Students who participated in the summer internship drive received a median stipend of INR 1.5 lakh, while the average monthly stipend stood at INR 1.59 lakh.

Following the IIM Calcutta Summer Internship 2022-23 data, the top 25% percent of candidates received a stipend of INR 2.24 lakh. The internship drive was held in offline mode for students, where top recruiters such as Amazon, Apple, Hotstar, Flipkart and Google visited the campus.

IIM Calcutta conducted its summer placement process in offline mode for almost two years for students, which enabled companies to recruit better company-suited students. Top offers were made from consulting sector, sales and marketing, general management and software services.

Rajath Bhatt from batch 59th batch said, “Being the first batch of the post-Covid era, a few uncertainties came with it. However, the summer placement process was very smooth and impeccable. The placement team worked hard to bring in a wide variety of firms offering diverse roles”.

From consulting sector, 165 students were hired and 115 students were hired for job profiles in the finance sector. Top recruiters who made offers are Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, Macquarie Group, Morgan Stanley, Accenture Strategy, Bain & Co and Boston Consulting Group.

Recruiters who made offers in the marketing and general management sector include Aditya Birla Group, Coca-Cola, Dabur, Hindustan Unilever Limited, ITC, Mahindra, Mondelez, Nestle, Procter & Gamble, Tata Administrative Services among others.
