New Delhi: IIM Calcutta offers an Executive Program in Business and Corporate Law (EPBCL), which focuses on a comprehensive understanding of the legal structure and environment required to conduct national as well as international activities.
As per IIM Calcutta, Raqshanda Niazi, a trained attorney has enrolled in the Executive program in Business and Corporate Law (EPBCL) at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta in 2018, which was the program's first year of launch.
IIM Calcutta has a wide range of programs available which includes specialisations in law, functional and sectoral management, strategy and entrepreneurship, analytics, and leadership and general management.
Frequent requests for the program come from the government, especially notably from the Ministry of Defense, public-sector organisations, and businesses who wish to upgrade their skills. These programs are tailored to the requirements of the business.
As part of a collaboration with Coal India, IIM Calcutta has educated 210 officers in contract management so far. The institution has trained senior officers employed by the Food Corporation of India, National Thermal Power Corporation Limited, and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation.
This esteemed institute has developed a program for teaching defence officers and officials involved in acquisition and procurement for the military. This program, according to a professor at the institution, was run by the Director General of Defence Acquisitions.
This course shares resources from academics and business professionals all across the world. The lectures are given online, and participants are only obliged to attend the school briefly to present the projects that have been assigned to them.
Niazi was able to broaden her perspective as a result of the six-month training. Executives enrol in these programs to advance their careers. Ajay Neb, a Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Edelweiss Financial, also finished the EPBCL Program in 2018.
Ravindran Rajesh Babu shared that the IIM Calcutta LLB degree curriculum provides a wide thorough understanding of all legal facets. It focuses on the corporate and international regulatory aspects of regulation, which are quite comparable to the job responsibilities.
The Covid-19 epidemic caused delays in the programs in 2020 and 2021; however, they started up again in 2022. After completing the program, students are given the opportunity to visit Calcutta for the required seven-day on-campus participation.
