New Delhi: IIM Calcutta launches the Advanced Programme in FinTech and Financial Blockchain (APFFB) in partnership with TalentSprint. The six-month programme will prepare experts for the FinTech industry.

The IIM Calcutta, will launch advanced programmes in two disciplines. These domains, Financial Blockchain and FinTech (Financial Technology) will be introduced to aid financial sector workers.

The purpose of these programmes is to provide instruction on FinTech and its effects on the financial and banking sector. It will also instruct students on how to use FinTech to build and implement strategies for their particular organisations' newly introduced goods.

India has become the second largest centre for the FinTech industry due to its rapid growth in FinTech. In the next five years, NASSCOM estimates that the Indian FinTech market will expand by approximately 22%. KPMG projections suggest that the Indian FinTech sector will have a transaction value of $73 billion by the year 2020.

Indranil Bose, one of the directors of APFFB, stated that talent shortage is a significant obstacle for the FinTech, financial, and banking sectors.

Without educated personnel, businesses cannot operate effectively, which poses a threat to their existence. With this programme, IIM Calcutta intends to educate and train 2,000 individuals in FinTech over the next five years.

The qualifying requirements of APFFB stipulate that the candidate must be a graduate or postgraduate in any discipline with a minimum grade point average of 50 percent. He/she must have at least two years of job experience.
