In a recent update, The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has announced that the Essay Writing or WAT conducted from April 24 to May 16 for IIFT Admission 2021 will be scrapped.
The interview and extempore for IIFT’s MBA International Business Admission 2021 was conducted during this duration.
The official notice stated "Reference admission process for admitting candidates to full-time MBA Programme of IIFT. The Institute after due consideration has decided to scrap the element of WAT (Essay Writing Test). Therefore, WATs held on 24.4.2021 and 16.5.2021 stand nullified and inconsequential".
Interviews will be conducted after May 19 for students who were unable to participate in the online WAT and PI rounds conducted between April 24 to May 16. So far 141 such candidates have requested the institute for the same. The schedule for the same will be announced shortly.
The process for IIFT Admission 2021 includes rounds of Essay Writing, Extempore and Personal Interview. Due to the ongoing wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, these are being conducted in online mode. NTA is conducting an exam that candidates will have to clear for admission to IIFT.
NRI/PIO/foreign candidates can apply on the basis of their GMAT scores.
