ICSI CS 2020: Institute of Company Secretary of India (ICSI) has scheduled the CS exams to begin from December 21, 2020. Candidates insist on either delaying the exam or conducting a second cycle for Covid-19 positive students in the month of February next year.
As the government of India has issued a set of SOP for conducting the exam stating that no Covid-19 positive students or students having symptoms of Covid-19 will be permitted to appear for the exam, candidates have appealed ICSI to conduct the second cycle of ICSI CS exams in the month of February to avoid the wait of 6 months.
The ICSI CS 2020 will be conducted for continuous 10 days for which there are chances of candidates getting infected of the virus from the Covid-19 positive candidates. The main concern is if Covid-19 positive candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam they will have to wait for another 6 months to clear their paper.
The ICSI CS were supposed to be conducted in the month of June but in light of Covid-19, the exams are now postponed to December. The schedule is already running behind and Covid 19 positive students or the one's having any symptoms will not be allowed to take the exam, which means 6 months long wait for them.
Candidates have suggested to input an option to voluntarily opt-out for the exam without submitting the Covid-19 positive certificate. As per students, the vaccine for Covid-19 disease is expected to be released in the month of January next year and ICSI CS exams can be conducted at that time.
Students suggested that several exams like JEE, CA were conducted in different phases in the year 2020 and some exams were even held in both online and offline mode, the same can be followed by ICSI to conduct the CS exams.
