The initiative by the ICAI has been taken to prevent the spread of the virus among the students and the examiners. The board released a notification regarding this matter on November 7, 2020, stating that students can opt-out of exams without submitting any related documents.
However, some students did not choose the Opt-out scheme before the examination. To neutralize the situation ICAI has taken precautionary measures for all those students affected by the virus.

- If the student has symptoms of covid-19 or has tested positive.
- If any family member of the students has tested positive in the course of exams.
- If the student’s locality is declared as a containment zone by the central government in the course of exams.
Earlier, ICAI has issued a notice that no students will be allowed to sit in the exam if they are tested Covid-Positive and strict actions will be taken against those students.
