Himachal Pradesh School Reopening Updates
Meanwhile, the Himachal Pradesh government reopened schools from September 27, 2021, for grades 9 and 12 students. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur presided over a Cabinet meeting that made the decision.
According to the guidelines, children in grades 9 and 11 must attend school on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays while students in grades 10 and 12 must attend school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays each week. Furthermore, all COVID-19 measures, including wearing masks, using hand sanitisers, and other safety measures, should be observed by all.
However, as reports claim, schools have opened to thinner attendance. As the fear of a third wave of COVID-19 still prevails, SOPs issued by the state government mentioned, arrival time, lunch breaks and departures should be allotted in a staggered manner.
The SOPs also mentioned, there will be no sports or cultural activities in schools for now. Schools have been shut mostly from the beginning of the year and classes 1-8 will still continue with online classes.
