Himachal Pradesh Government has considered opening schools partially from next month, February 2021 by implementing SOP strictly in view of Covid-19 pandemic as said by Parliamentary Affairs Minister.
According to Suresh Bharadwaj, Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Class 5 and classes 8-12 in schools in the plains with summer vacations will open on February 1, while those in mountain terrain with longer winter vacation will commence from February 15, 2021 onwards.
The State Government is also considering to reopen the Engineering Colleges, Polytechnic and industrial training institutes from February 1, 2021 onwards.
Suresh Bhardwaj stated that after evaluating the current covid-19 condition in the country, the decision to re-open these institutes was taken in the cabinet meeting headed by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur.
The management of these institutes will maintain the use of face masks, social distancing, and the use of sanitisers in their campuses mandatorily, Bhardwaj concluded.
