Haryana has decided to open schools for classes 10 and 12 from December 14, 2020, onwards. This decision was taken in view of the upcoming board exams of these students. All schools in the state have been directed to operate for 3 hours between 10 am to 1 pm.
In addition, classes for 9th and 11th will start from December 21, 2020. Students who will be attending classes will be required to undergo a routine check-up in a hospital or a government health center.
The students will be required to procure the certificate before the school authorities when entering the premises. Students without a certificate will not be allowed to enter the schools. The consent of the parents is also necessary for students to attend classes.

The state will impose Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all staff along with students will be required to follow them. The SOPs include wearing face masks, thermal checking of staff and students at the entry point, and carrying hand sanitizers.
The social distancing between students will be maintained in the classrooms as well as the school premises. Additionally, the school classroom and bathroom will be sanitized every day before school starts.
According to the order released on November 30, schools in Haryana are closed till December 10. This has now been further extended to December 14 due to the increasing number of covid-19 cases in the state.
Home Minister of Haryana, Anil Vij had said in the order released on November 30 that the state will provide schools with all the requisite guidelines before re-opening.
