Gurugram Medical College: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has given a green signal for setting up a Medical College in Gurugram with the capacity of 250 MBBS seats.
The Medical College will be built in a village Khrki Majra and will be known as 'Sheetla Mata Medical College'. The proposal for Gurugram Medical College was awaiting it's approval for a long time.

The Gurugram Medical College to be named as Sheetla Mata Medical College will have 650 beds and a trauma center with 100 bed capacity.
On the 7th meeting of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, the Chief Minister discussed the matters of important projects and progress. To improve the health conditions of the state the Gurugram Medical College received it's approval with the budget of INR 981 crore.
Earlier the college would have been built under the budget of INR 679 crore, but as the institution will be under the care of the state government, the budget has been increased.
The Sheetla Mata Medical College will be equipped with advanced facilities and will have 250 seats for medical education. In the meeting,other matters like the expansion of Hero Honda Road Chowk to Capt Umang Bharadwaj Chowk was also discussed.
