Gujarat Board Exam 2021: Class 12th Evaluation Policy (Out); Result by July Third Week


Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has announced the evaluation policy for class 12. The result of all Gujarat Board Exam 2021 will be declared by the third week of July 2021. 

As per Gujarat Board (GSEB), it will include marks of classes 10, 11 and 12 in the ratio of 50:25:25 respectively. GSHSEB’s evaluation policy has been framed by a committee of 11 educationists. The result evaluation criteria of GSHSEB was released soon after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) submitted the evaluation criteria for CBSE class 12th result 2021

Gujarat Board Exam 2021: Class 12th Evaluation Policy 

Following the recommendations of the committee, GSHSEB declared the evaluation policy for declaring Gujarat Board Class 12th Results. Students’ highest weightage of 50 marks will be based on the GSEB Class 10th Result, and 25% marks will be evaluated based on class 11th unit test scores. The remaining 25% marks will be credited on the basis of class 12th unit test scores of students.

Referring to the result evaluation criteria, Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said, “We did our groundwork and prepared our plan while waiting for CBSE guidelines. The committee that framed an evaluation policy for Class 10 did not receive a single complaint was asked to prepare the policy for Class 12 evaluation too.”

GSHSEB secretary Dinesh Patel stated that between July 19, and July 25, the Gujarat Board affiliated schools will evaluate the result of the students based on the evaluation criteria released.

Following the same, results for all Class 12th students will be released on the official website of the board in the third week of July. Additionally, the distributions of mark sheets and certificates will also be done by the end of July 2021, he added.

Gujarat Board Exam 2021: Class 10th Evaluation Policy 

On June 03, 2021, Gujarat Board released the evaluation criteria for all class 10th students. As per the evaluation criteria, GSEB Class 10th Exam 2021 result will be prepared considering Class 9th and 10th marks of students. 

Scores obtained in class 9th periodic test and class 10th unit tests conducted throughout the year will be considered for awarding marks in GSEB Class 10th Result 2021.

As per GSEB’s guidelines, “Those students who fail to achieve 26 marks in each subject (out of total 80) and 7 marks out of 20, will be mass promoted. In the report card’s result column of such students, ‘qualified for secondary school certificate’ will be mentioned”.

Gujarat Board Exam 2021 for classes 10th and 12th were cancelled soon after CBSE Class 12th Exam 2021 was cancelled by the CBSE Board on June 2nd. The reason was stated as the ongoing COVD-19 pandemic.
