Goa Board Class 11 and 12th exam will be held through offline mode. The Education Department of the state has also released the COVID-19 guidelines that should be strictly followed during the exam.
As per Goa Board, the Higher Secondary level exams will be conducted in the offline mode on a conditional level where the schools have to ensure that all the students and exam invigilators follow and adhere to the Covid-19 pandemic instructions issued by the board.
The decision to conduct the higher secondary level exams via offline mode was announced by Mr Bhushan Savaikar, Director of Education, Goa Government. He said that several schools across the state have requested the government to permit conducting the Goa board exams through the offline mode.
As a result, the state government has permitted the schools to conduct the exams with strict adherence to COVID-19 instructions.
Goa Board Exam 2021: Covid-19 Instructions for Offline Exams
The Goa Education Department released a notification stating that the COVID-19 instructions should be mandatorily followed by all the students on the exam day.
According to the instructions, only 50% of the students should be seated in each class. The schools have been asked to make the seating arrangements accordingly by following the social distancing protocols.
All the students and staff should mandatorily wear marks and use sanitizers. Further, all the students, teachers, and exam invigilators will be checked for body temperature and any other symptoms of COVID-19.
As per the notification, sanitization and cleaning of the school premises and other areas are to be done every day before opening.
The purpose of releasing the Covid-19 instructions by the Goa Education Department is that all the students and staff should be safe during the examination.
Furthermore, the Goa government has made the negative RT-PCR report compulsory for all the students appearing for the board exams.
It is mentioned in the notification issued by the government that only vaccinated staff will be permitted inside the school premise and those who initially fail to produce the vaccination certificate will be allowed only if they produce a negative report of RT PCR test, which shall be valid for seven days and they're required to produce a fresh report after seventh day.
