Chief Minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant has announced the cancellation of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, GBSHSE 12th Board Exam 2021 commencement for all students in the states on Wednesday, June 02, 2021.
GBSHSE 12th Board Exam 2021 final decision was made during a meeting with the Officials of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, GBSHSE, and State Education Department.
In the meeting, Chief Minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant stated, "we have three suggestions before us right now, first is to cancel the exams in seconds to declare results on internal assessment of marks are allowed those are keen on taking the exam to appear for it and the third is to declare both the results together".
Chief Minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant further added that the Goa Class 12th Result 2021 evaluation criteria will also be soon released by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, GBSHSE. Earlier, the decision to postpone the Goa Board Class 12th Exam 2021 was taken to ensure the safety of the students in the states.
Referring to the matter, the Goa Chief Minister stated that the government is still considering the commencement of higher examinations, like NEET, JEE 2021, etc.
He further added that the examination board and state government will take the final decision on class 12th exam commencement on Wednesday, June 02, 2021, by considering all necessary factors
Earlier, the decision to cancel CBSE Class 12h Board Exam 2021 was released by the Central Board of Secondary Education in view of Covid-19 Pandemic, and students’ safety.
Referring to the announcement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the safety of students is the first priority of the government, and hence students will not be forced to appear for the examination.
With the release of the CBSE Class 12th Exam 2021 cancellation announcement, many state boards, like Haryana, and Rajasthan have also canceled the board exam commencement for class 12th students in the states.
Haryana State Education Minister Kanwar Pal stated that the decision to finally cancel the Haryana Board 12th Exam 2021 was taken in view of the current pandemic situation and to ensure the safety of students.
The decision for Rajasthan Board 10th and 12th Exam 2021 cancellation was also released on June 03, 2021, a day after the CBSE’s announcement, for all students in the states.
