The Education Ministry has postponed all offline exams of IITs, IIITs and other CFTIs in the country that were slated to be conducted in May 2021. The ministry made this unbending decision to stave off further outspread of coronavirus and other unforeseen situations.

The Ministry has asked all the centrally funded institutions across the nation to defer offline exams for now. Further updates regarding the rescheduling of examinations will be notified by June 2021.
A recent tweet by ANI also states, “Due to the second wave of #COVID19, the Ministry of Education urged for postponement of all offline examinations scheduled in May. The Online examinations, etc. may, however, continue.”
The information is for all the Central Universities, Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology and Indian Institutes of Information Technology across the country. The Ministry of Education advised all institutions to encourage eligible individuals to get vaccinated. Moreover, if they need assistance regarding any prevailing situations, the ministry will succor them.
Many universities and institutions have already delayed their semester examinations that were scheduled to be conducted offline. However, it was still a question for IITs, CFTIs and IIITs in India. The decision will surely help the country to curb the widespread in these times of hardships.
