KMAT 2015 Syllabus

The KMAT 2015 exam conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) is scheduled for Sunday, August 03, 2015. The KMAT 2015 Syllabus is not defined, but KPPGCA but according to the pattern described, KMAT 2015 Syllabus is mentioned below:

There are 2 patterns, KMAT for MBA and KMAT for MBA and MCA. In the KMAT exam for MBA admissions, the sections are Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills and Basic Aptitude. For the MBA and MCA combined exam, the sections are Language Skills, Mathematical Skills, Basic Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. Apart from Logical Reasoning, the sections are same in both the types of the exams. Hence the KMAT 2015 Syllabus will be the same for both types of exams.

Language comprehension –

This section is mainly used to test the vocabulary of the student and the general ability to understand English. This section of the paper has maximum scope for further enhancement. It includes-

  • Reading comprehension
  • Synonym
  • Antonym
  • Preposition
  • Tenses
  • Essay Writing

Mathematics –

This segment of the paper deals with reasonable form of aptitude problems. This slice basically tests the candidate's ability to deal with aptitude problems. It includes-

  • Number
  • Algebra
  • Height and distance
  • Probability
  • Profit Loss
  • Percentage

Logical Reasoning –

This division of the question paper tests the ability of the candidate to determine the truth behind anyConclusion based on certain rules. Data are present in the form of tables, graphs and charts. TheLogical Reasoning questions are asked on the common topics such as –

  • Coding-Decoding
  • Linear and Circular Arrangements
  • Data Interpretation
  • Analogies
  • Dot Situation
  • Blood Relation
  • Venn Diagram
  • Data Sufficiency
  • Analytical and Critical Reasoning
  • Questions based on case lets

Basic Aptitude –

This section can be described as General Knowledge section. Here questions are asked on basicManagement and computer concepts. Most of the questions are static and few are dynamic as well. This section includes –

  • Current Affairs, Business, Punch line of companies, Top officials of big companies
  • Major corporate events
  • Famous award and prizes
  • World Records
  • Books and authors
  • Science, History, Geography, International organizations
  • Important quotations
  • Social issues, Sports, Finance, Automobiles, Entertainment, Politics, etc
